- • Provide exceptional phone-based customer service to patients, physicians, and healthcare facilities as part of a nationwide pharmacy care management team.
- • Process high volumes of prescription information with speed and accuracy, ensuring correct data entry into internal pharmacy systems.
- • Obtain prescription authorizations, clarifications, and transfers by communicating directly with prescribers and pharmacies using sound drug knowledge.
- • Perform claim adjudication duties including prior authorization requests, billing verification, and eligibility checks through outbound patient calls.
- • Resolve patient care issues by working through active case queues and coordinating solutions with clinical pharmacists and other medical professionals.
- • Serve as a liaison between clinical pharmacists, technicians, and external providers to ensure seamless patient care coordination.
- • Onboard new patients by conducting welcome calls and establishing trusted, ongoing points of contact for medication management.
- • Initiate outbound calls to patients to create, update, or verify their medication profiles and ensure accurate recordkeeping.
- • Maintain strict confidentiality and compliance with state and federal regulations when handling sensitive patient health information.
- • Accurately retrieve and verify prescription details through direct communication with prescribing physicians and facilities.
- • Act as backup support during periods of high patient call volume to ensure uninterrupted service delivery.
- • Utilize multiple internal software systems to manage prescriptions, authorizations, billing, and patient records efficiently.
- • Demonstrate strong organizational and prioritization skills to manage competing tasks in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

- • Perform other duties as assigned to support the operational needs of the Patient Engagement Center of Excellence.
🎯 Requirements
- • High school diploma or GED
- • Must be 18 years of age or older
- • Pharmacy technician registration with State Board of Pharmacy is preferred
- • CPhT certification is preferred but not required
- • Prior experience in a pharmacy setting is preferred
- • Comfortable working in a phone-based environment with strong verbal communication skills
