- • Day-to-day responsibilities include handling on-demand Palauan-English telephone interpreting sessions, rendering accurate meaning without omissions or additions, maintaining professionalism during high-stress calls (including 911 and medical emergencies), and adapting to diverse industry protocols while ensuring cultural sensitivity and neutrality.

🎯 Requirements
- • Fluency in Palauan and English with strong cultural competency and ability to assess regional accents and dialect differences.
- • Excellent listening, retention, and note-taking skills to ensure high accuracy during interpretation, especially in sensitive or complex conversations.
- • Ability to remain neutral, objective, and calm during emotionally charged or stressful calls, including end-of-life discussions, medical emergencies, and 911 situations.
- • High school diploma or equivalent; prior experience in teaching, translation, interpretation, or language assessment preferred.
- • Legally authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship requirements; must be at least 18 years old.
- • Must have a dedicated quiet workspace, reliable high-speed internet (5 Mbps download, 3 Mbps upload), and compatible device (Windows, MacOS, ChromeOS, iPadOS, or Android) while avoiding restricted brands (Kaspersky, Huawei).
