- • The Palliative Billing Specialist (Remote) role at VitalCaring Group, LLC is essential to maintaining the financial integrity of hospice operations by ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely billing in accordance with Medicare Hospice regulations and federal, state, and commercial payor requirements.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing and submitting hospice claims (Medicare, Medicaid, Managed Care, and other third-party payors), verifying Notice of Election (NOE) submissions, reviewing documentation for proper revenue and occurrence codes, resolving claim denials and payment discrepancies, collaborating with clinical and admissions teams to obtain missing documentation, uploading remittance advices into the EMR, monitoring payments for accuracy, and supporting audit preparedness for ADRs, TPE reviews, and other payer audits.
