- • Collaborate with the legal team to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations in the blockchain and decentralized finance (DeFi) industry.
- • Draft, review, and manage contracts, agreements, and legal documents related to company operations, ensuring accuracy and alignment with legal standards.
- • Support the legal team in negotiating and finalizing external contracts, with attention to compliance, risk mitigation, and contractual precision.
- • Conduct legal research on evolving regulatory frameworks, compliance requirements, and jurisdictional considerations specific to blockchain technology and smart contracts.
- • Manage and oversee Know Your Customer (KYC) processes, with preference for experience using Synaps or similar compliance platforms.
- • Provide day-to-day legal guidance and support to internal teams across product, engineering, and operations functions.
- • Stay current on regulatory developments affecting decentralized finance, including securities law, anti-money laundering (AML), and cross-border compliance.
- • Maintain organized records of legal documents, contracts, and compliance filings with strict attention to detail and confidentiality.
- • Work closely with internal stakeholders to interpret legal requirements and translate them into operational practices.
- • Assist in preparing legal materials for internal audits, regulatory inquiries, or external partnerships.
- • Adapt quickly to changes in the regulatory landscape of Web3 finance and proactively identify potential legal risks.
- • Uphold the highest standards of ethics and confidentiality when handling sensitive legal and financial information.
- • Contribute to the continuous improvement of legal workflows and documentation systems within a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor's degree; paralegal certificate preferred
- • 2-3 years of experience as a paralegal in a law firm or in-house legal department
- • Experience with legal work related to decentralized finance and blockchain technology
- • Familiarity with blockchain, smart contracts, and associated legal considerations
- • Proficiency with compliance platforms such as Synaps or similar KYC/AML tools
- • Strong understanding of contracts, regulatory compliance, and legal principles
