- • This part-time infusion nurse role at NIRA Medical Inc. in Round Rock, TX offers a meaningful opportunity for experienced nurses to apply their IV expertise in a calm, patient-centered clinical environment focused on specialty infusion therapies. The position supports the growth of a dedicated infusion center that prioritizes safety, clinical excellence, and strong teamwork, allowing nurses to build meaningful patient relationships while enjoying predictable daytime hours and professional autonomy.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include starting IVs and administering specialty infusion therapies, managing 2-3 infusion chairs simultaneously, monitoring patients for reactions and complications, providing patient education, collaborating with the infusion team and practice leadership, utilizing advanced IV support tools like UV vein finder technology, and maintaining safe, efficient workflows as the center expands.
- • The infusion center is intentionally designed to avoid hospital chaos, with a current volume of 6–8 patients per day and infusion lengths ranging from 1 to 5 hours, enabling both efficient workflows and deeper patient interaction during longer visits. Nurses work in a supportive, small-team setting that values organization, calmness, and patient-centered care.
- • Nurses in this role benefit from structured onboarding including 3 days of virtual training and 7 days of in-clinic shadowing, gradual transition to independent practice, and ongoing support from experienced infusion nurses. The role offers the chance to regularly use and refine strong IV skills, develop autonomy in patient management, and contribute meaningfully to the expansion of a growing specialty infusion program.
🎯 Requirements
- • BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) required
- • Experience in infusion nursing, emergency department, or other acute-care environments
- • Strong IV start skills and comfort managing multiple infusion patients simultaneously
