- • Provide direct patient care in an infusion therapy setting at the Local Infusion center in Poughkeepsie, NY, ensuring the highest standard of clinical care for patients receiving infusions or injections.
- • Assess and document patient health status prior to, during, and after infusion treatments in alignment with organizational protocols and clinical guidelines.
- • Administer biologic drugs and other infused medications according to prescribed orders and safety standards, maintaining strict adherence to infection control and medication administration protocols.
- • Initiate and manage IV access with demonstrated proficiency in IV skills, including venipuncture and catheter maintenance for infusion therapy.
- • Collaborate with referring and prescribing providers to clarify orders, update patient status, and coordinate care plans to ensure continuity of treatment.
- • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems to support clinical decision-making and regulatory compliance.
- • Monitor patients throughout infusion sessions for adverse reactions, vital sign changes, and treatment efficacy, taking prompt clinical action as needed.
- • Assist in managing and replenishing medical inventory and infusion supplies to ensure operational readiness and patient safety.
- • Provide onsite supervision for all patients during their infusion visits, ensuring a safe, comfortable, and supportive environment.
- • Work a flexible 8-hour shift schedule, three days per week, with potential to transition to full-time employment within 2–3 months as center volume increases.
- • Operate autonomously within a 3:1 patient-to-clinician ratio, allowing focused, high-quality care and reduced administrative burden compared to traditional settings.
- • Contribute to a patient-centered culture that prioritizes connection, comfort, and community in specialty infusion care.
- • Support the company’s mission to transform the infusion industry through innovative, AI-driven workflows that reduce paperwork and increase clinician-patient interaction time.
🎯 Requirements
- • Current RN licensure in New York
- • Current BLS CPR certification
- • Excellent IV skills with experience in infusion therapy
- • Experience utilizing Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems
