  • • This part-time remote paralegal role supports intellectual property tasks, billing operations, and U.S. account management, playing a critical role in ensuring legal and financial accuracy for U.S.-based clients.
  • • Day-to-day responsibilities include analyzing invention disclosures, assisting in drafting patent applications and trademark filings, reviewing office actions and prior art, conducting freedom-to-operate searches, preparing legal correspondence, managing billing and account updates, maintaining financial documentation, and identifying process improvements.
  • • The role operates within Distro, Inc., a company focused on streamlining legal and administrative workflows, where the paralegal collaborates closely with a supervising attorney and contributes to operational efficiency in a remote, independent work environment.
  • • The candidate will develop expertise in U.S. patent and trademark procedures, strengthen bookkeeping and billing skills, gain experience with legal tech tools like Cleo, and enhance cross-functional coordination between legal and finance operations—building a hybrid skill set valuable in legal operations and legal support roles.

🎯 Requirements

  • • 2 years of experience in paralegal, bookkeeping, or related administrative/legal roles
  • • Strong English proficiency (C1 level) — excellent writing and reading comprehension
  • • Experience handling U.S. accounts and working with U.S.-based clients
  • • High attention to detail and accuracy in legal and financial documentation
  • • Ability to work independently, ask questions when needed, and maintain confidentiality
  • • Knowledge of California law (good to have)
  • • Paralegal background with potential to transition into bookkeeping responsibilities
  • • Experience with Cleo (preferred) or willingness to learn paralegal software
  • • Experience with billing systems, document management tools, or CRM platforms is a plus
