- • Develop, build, and amplify referral relationships with tech partners, human capital management (HCM) partners, benefit brokers, CPAs, and financial advisors serving small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs).
- • Create and expand strategic referral networks focused on lead generation and identifying new partnership opportunities to drive growth.
- • Proactively identify and resolve operational issues by collaborating cross-functionally with Sales, Product, Marketing, Legal, and Finance teams.
- • Partner with Marketing to design and execute unique initiatives that promote partner-driven sales, including educational events, email campaigns, and webinars.
- • Work directly with partners to establish clear business goals and performance metrics such as sales pipeline depth and revenue generation to develop effective go-to-market strategies.
- • Operate independently as a self-motivated, proactive sales professional in a fast-paced, evolving environment with autonomy to create solutions.
- • Maintain and grow key partner accounts through consistent engagement, relationship building, and strategic planning.
- • Utilize Salesforce to manage sales cycles and track partner performance metrics, with preference given to candidates experienced in the platform.
- • Travel to partner locations up to three days per week to conduct in-person meetings and strengthen relationships.
- • Embody a solutions-oriented mindset by actively addressing partnership challenges and finding creative, resourceful ways to overcome obstacles.
- • Demonstrate extraordinary communication and interpersonal skills that build trust and convey genuine advocacy for Human Interest’s mission.

- • Contribute to scaling Human Interest’s Partnership Program to expand access to retirement savings for SMB employees across the United States.
🎯 Requirements
- • 2+ years of experience building, developing, and maintaining relationships with tech and HCM partners, benefit brokers, CPAs, and financial advisors in the SMB space (including territory sales and business development)
- • Proven track record of success in a quota-driven sales environment
- • Ability to travel and be in the field 3 days per week
- • Familiarity using Salesforce to manage sales cycles
- • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a solutions-oriented mindset
- • Self-motivated, independent worker who thrives in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
