- • The Patient Account Representative (PAR) at Guidehouse Inc. is responsible for performing billing processes, follow-up, account resolution, adjustments, and scanning to support departmental facility goals and objectives. This role ensures accurate and timely resolution of patient accounts by working with third-party payers and guarantors, maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations including HIPAA, and contributing to the financial integrity of healthcare operations.
- • Day-to-day duties include contacting payers and guarantors via phone or websites to resolve account balances, working all correspondence within 24 hours with detailed notes, managing denials by taking necessary actions and submitting appeals for non-clinical denials, monitoring denial trends, rebilling claims as needed, updating patient demographic and insurance information, posting adjustments per SOPs, and handling internal and external customer calls professionally. The PAR also completes special projects, attends training sessions, and documents all account activities in the client’s practice management system.

🎯 Requirements
- • High School Diploma / GED or 3 years of relevant equivalent experience
- • 1-3+ years of experience in office, business, operations, customer service, or healthcare field
- • PC skills in a Windows environment with knowledge of Word and Excel
