  • • Embark on a meaningful career journey with Sedgwick, a global leader in claims management services, where you'll be an integral part of a compassionate team dedicated to supporting individuals through life's unexpected challenges. As a Patient Care Coordinator, you will be the primary point of contact for callers, providing exceptional service and guidance across multiple lines of business. Your role is crucial in expediting the claims application process, ensuring accurate and detailed documentation of every interaction, and resolving issues efficiently with a 'one call, one person' approach. This is an opportunity to grow professionally, experience a supportive and caring company culture, and achieve a healthy work-life balance, all while contributing to a mission that makes a real difference.
  • • In this vital role, you will act as the main liaison between Sedgwick and its clients' customers, meticulously following client specifications to assist with inquiries and resolve problems related to the claims application and servicing processes. Your ability to clearly and empathetically communicate will be key as you educate and inform customers through various communication channels. This includes providing detailed information on the documentation required to process a claim, the expected timeframes for each stage, payment details, and the current status of their claim. You will be empowered to be the first and primary resource for the caller, aiming for first-call resolution whenever possible.
  • • A significant aspect of your responsibility will involve educating claimants and callers about specific client requirements and benefit plans. This requires a thorough understanding of diverse policies and the ability to translate complex information into easily understandable terms. Every interaction must be meticulously documented in the claims management system, ensuring that all required details of the call are recorded concisely and professionally. This detailed record-keeping is essential for maintaining accurate claim histories and ensuring seamless service delivery.
  • • You will be responsible for accurately entering both verbal and written application information into the claims management system, ensuring that the data meets the requirements of both internal stakeholders and external customers. This precision is paramount for the efficient processing of claims. Furthermore, you will play a key role in the initial stages of the claims process by assigning new claims to the appropriate claims handlers, ensuring that each case is managed by the most qualified individual.
  • • Your role extends to managing the flow of communication by directing customer calls to the appropriate contacts within multiple locations or escalating complex issues to Service Center Specialists or management as needed. This requires excellent judgment and an understanding of the organizational structure to ensure callers are connected with the right resources promptly. Maintaining consistent attendance during scheduled work hours is a fundamental requirement for this position, ensuring that our callers receive timely support.
  • • Beyond these core responsibilities, you will have the opportunity to perform other duties as assigned, contributing to the overall success of the team and the organization. You will also actively support the organization's quality programs, demonstrating a commitment to continuous improvement and excellence in service delivery. This position offers a dynamic work environment where you can leverage your communication and problem-solving skills to make a tangible impact on the lives of those navigating challenging circumstances. Sedgwick is recognized for its commitment to its employees and its clients, as evidenced by accolades such as Newsweek’s America’s Greatest Workplaces, certification as a Great Place to Work®, and Fortune’s Best Workplaces in Financial Services & Insurance. Join us and build a rewarding career.
