- • You will be responsible for meticulously managing patient cases, ensuring a seamless progression through every stage of their care journey. This involves proactive coordination and diligent follow-through to guarantee that patients receive the support and medication they need without delay.
- • A core aspect of your role will be to facilitate the prior authorization process, a crucial step in obtaining approval for high-cost specialty medications. This requires a keen eye for detail, accuracy in documentation, and effective communication with healthcare providers and insurance payers.
- • You will play an instrumental role in scheduling and confirming medication deliveries, ensuring that patients receive their vital treatments at the appropriate times and locations, thereby maintaining treatment adherence and efficacy.
- • Your responsibilities extend to the efficient retrieval and management of essential documents, ensuring that all necessary paperwork is collected, organized, and submitted within strict regulatory and operational timelines.

Your ability to communicate clearly, empathetically, and effectively will be paramount in building trust and providing reassurance to individuals managing complex health conditions.

This often necessitates making outbound calls to insurance companies and healthcare providers to gather information and resolve discrepancies.

- • A significant part of your onboarding process will involve conducting welcome calls to new patients. These calls are designed to introduce them to our services, explain their treatment plan, build rapport, and establish a foundation of trust and support.
- • You will be entrusted with maintaining highly accurate and organized patient records. This encompasses the entire patient lifecycle, from initial contact and benefit verification through therapy initiation, ongoing follow-up, and final case closure.
- • To effectively manage patient information and authorizations, you will become proficient in utilizing multiple sophisticated software platforms, ensuring that all data related to authorizations, medication profiles, and patient communications are up-to-date and easily accessible.
- • You will proactively address patient inquiries, providing clear and concise answers to their questions regarding their medication, insurance, or treatment plan. Furthermore, you will serve as a valuable backup resource during periods of high call volume or increased operational demands, ensuring that all patient needs are met.

This feedback loop is essential for continuous improvement and ensures that leadership is aware of challenges and opportunities within the specialty pharmacy operations.
- • You will strictly adhere to all patient confidentiality regulations, including HIPAA, and meticulously follow internal policies and external accreditation standards to maintain the highest level of integrity and compliance.
- • In addition to your core duties, you will be expected to complete additional tasks and projects as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to contribute to the broader team's objectives.
