Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Provide high-quality, evidence-based psychiatric care to a diverse, commercially insured patient population across all 50 states via secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth technology from the comfort of your own home office—eliminating commutes, overhead costs, and geographic constraints while expanding access to specialty mental-health services.
- • Conduct thorough virtual psychiatric evaluations that synthesize longitudinal medical records, collateral information from family members or caregivers, detailed psychosocial histories, and real-time mental-status examinations to formulate accurate DSM-5 diagnoses and identify comorbid medical or substance-use conditions that impact treatment planning.
- • Develop and implement individualized, whole-person treatment plans that integrate psychopharmacologic interventions, psycho-education, brief supportive therapy, and coordinated referrals to evidence-based psychotherapy, primary-care services, and community resources, ensuring seamless continuity of care across the behavioral and physical health continuum.
- • Manage complex psychotropic regimens—including initiation, titration, cross-tapering, deprescribing, and augmentation strategies—while continuously monitoring therapeutic response, adverse effects, adherence patterns, and potential drug–drug interactions through integrated lab ordering, patient-reported outcome measures, and secure messaging within our cloud-based EMR.
- • Collaborate in real time with primary-care physicians, licensed psychologists, master’s-level therapists, dedicated care coordinators, and employer benefits teams to deliver integrated, patient-centered care that addresses both behavioral and physical health determinants, reducing fragmentation and improving overall health outcomes.
- • Leverage our intuitive, cloud-based EMR (Athenahealth) featuring pre-built psychiatric documentation templates, one-click e-prescribing to over 70,000 retail and mail-order pharmacies nationwide, automated lab ordering and result routing, secure patient messaging, and AI-powered coding suggestions that reduce administrative burden by up to 40% compared to traditional practice settings.
- • Participate in monthly peer-chart reviews and quarterly case-consultation rounds as part of our rigorous quality-assurance program, providing and receiving collegial feedback that elevates clinical standards, safeguards patient safety, and fosters a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
- • Enjoy complete autonomy over your professional calendar: set weekly availability, block personal or family time, and scale visit volume—from 5 to 40+ hours per week—to align with your lifestyle, financial goals, and desired work-life integration without productivity quotas or RVU thresholds that compromise clinical decision-making.
- • Serve a rapidly expanding, commercially insured population through direct contracts with Google, Walmart, Best Buy, and other Fortune 500 employers, granting immediate access to more than 100 million covered lives and ensuring a steady, diverse referral stream without marketing, networking, or insurance-panel hassles.
- • Receive full, concierge-level administrative support: our dedicated operations team handles patient scheduling, insurance verification, prior authorizations, pharmacy callbacks, billing, and re-credentialing, allowing you to devote 100% of your time to direct patient care, professional development, and personal well-being.
- • Earn transparent, competitive fee-for-service compensation at $200 per completed clinical hour, with guaranteed payment for no-shows and late cancellations—no hidden clawbacks, RVU quotas, or productivity thresholds that compromise clinical decision-making or patient relationships.
- • Thrive within a collaborative, physician-led culture that prizes evidence-based practice, clinician well-being, and health-equity advocacy; attend optional weekly CME webinars, monthly journal clubs, and quarterly wellness retreats designed to prevent burnout and foster lifelong learning and professional satisfaction.
- • Contribute meaningfully to national health-equity initiatives by delivering culturally responsive, trauma-informed care to rural, urban, and historically marginalized communities that face systemic barriers to specialty psychiatric services, thereby reducing disparities in mental-health outcomes.
- • Play an active role in shaping the future of digital mental-health delivery by beta-testing new platform features, co-authoring clinical protocols, and developing patient-education materials that will influence care standards across the broader telepsychiatry ecosystem and advance the field as a whole.
