- • The Patient Communications Representative (PCR) is responsible for performing customer service activities to service and collect patient accounts receivables for medical accounts, playing a critical role in helping clients achieve their financial health goals through effective communication and resolution of outstanding balances.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include communicating with patients via telephone, email, chat, and text to obtain repayment or establish payment plans, achieving assigned goals related to resolutions, call quality, and productivity, profiling patients to gather financial and demographic information, negotiating payment arrangements, and maintaining proficiency with the company’s telephone system for both inbound and outbound calls.
- • The PCR conducts account research, uses job aids and crosswalks to resolve inquiries efficiently, documents findings, and ensures all account activities comply with client standards and federal regulations including FDCPA, HIPAA, and state laws, while maintaining accurate documentation of all interactions.
- • The role requires ongoing training and adherence to compliance policies, with opportunities to develop expertise in healthcare revenue cycle management, regulatory compliance, and patient financial services, supporting long-term career growth within CorroHealth’s mission-driven environment.
🎯 Requirements
- • High school diploma or equivalent; some college preferred
- • Experience in customer service, collections, or healthcare billing preferred
- • Strong verbal and written communication skills
- • Proficiency with computer systems and telephone platforms
- • Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
- • Knowledge of FDCPA, HIPAA, or other healthcare regulations is a plus
