📋 Description

• As the Payments Operations Manager at Everfield AG, you will serve as the operational engine driving the payments integration funnel for Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) across Europe, ensuring seamless onboarding, go-live, and ongoing support for Business Units within the Everfield ecosystem. Your role is critical in transforming how ISVs integrate payment acceptance by building repeatable, scalable processes that accelerate time-to-transaction while maintaining compliance and exceptional stakeholder experience.
• You will own the end-to-end operational delivery of the 7-phase payments funnel, managing the journey from acquisition handover through to live, transacting merchants. This includes designing and executing a standardized 'Payments Bootcamp' for new portfolio companies, coordinating cross-functional inputs from Product, Technology, Finance, GTM, and BI teams, and proactively tracking and reporting on funnel KPIs to identify and remove blockers at every stage.
• You will act as the primary operational liaison with Adyen, managing account boarding, escalations, terminal logistics for POS-focused units, and day-to-day coordination, ensuring all BU-facing processes align with Adyen’s Platforms capabilities, timelines, and regulatory requirements while maintaining inventory tracking and configuration oversight for hardware.
• You will continuously improve operational efficiency by collaborating with Finance, Product, and Technology teams to scale processes as the portfolio grows, defining and monitoring KPIs such as onboarding timelines, support ticket resolution, merchant activation rates, and time-to-first-transaction, and leading Operational Resilience, Disaster Recovery, and Business Continuity Planning initiatives in partnership with the Payments CTO.
• You will establish and maintain a robust knowledge management system by owning and updating Notion workspaces, process playbooks, onboarding guides, and internal wikis, while leveraging AI tools like Claude/Cowork to automate repetitive tasks, enhance workflows, and increase team productivity across decentralized Business Units.
• You will foster a culture of continuous improvement by collaborating with Payments Control, Business Intelligence, and other Operations Leads to integrate payments processes into wider Everfield rituals, delivering data-driven insights, supporting strategic direction-setting, and ensuring all BU-related operations are aligned with company vision, compliance standards, and service excellence.

🎯 Requirements

• Hands-on mentality and self-starting preference with proven experience in operational roles within the payments industry, ideally within a PSP, payment facilitator, or platform payments environment.
• Strong experience with Adyen (preferred) or comparable payment processors in an operational capacity, including boarding, escalation management, and terminal logistics.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving abilities, with comfort working across cultures and multiple European countries in a decentralized operating model.
• Tech-savvy proficiency in maintaining Notion workspaces, using AI tools (e.g., Claude/Cowork), and leveraging data to drive decisions and improve operational efficiency.
• Proven ability to implement best practices that optimize efficiency and maintain high service standards while scaling processes in a fast-growth, private equity-backed software ecosystem.
• Fluency in English is required; additional European languages are considered a plus.
