  • • Own the end-to-end semi-monthly payroll cycle for 300+ employees across six Kabam studios in Canada and the United States, processing both hourly and salaried populations through Ceridian Dayforce with absolute accuracy and timeliness.
  • • Serve as the primary point of contact for all payroll-related inquiries, delivering clear, concise, and professional guidance to employees at every level—from new hires to C-suite—while maintaining strict confidentiality and compliance.
  • • Prepare and reconcile complex remittances, payments, and adjustments for extended health, dental, life, disability, RSP, 401(k), and Workers’ Compensation carriers, ensuring each deduction aligns with plan rules and collective agreements.

  • • Generate detailed payroll reports and statutory filings (monthly, quarterly, and annual) for federal, provincial, state, and local agencies, including T4s, RL-1s, W-2s, 1095-Cs, EHT, WCB, and ROE submissions, meeting or exceeding every deadline.
  • • Conduct deep-dive audits of payroll data to validate accuracy, identify anomalies, and implement corrective actions before they impact employees or regulators; maintain pristine documentation for internal and external auditors.

  • • Monitor evolving federal, provincial, and state payroll legislation—such as CPP/QPP enhancements, US state tax reciprocity, and paid-leave mandates—translating regulatory changes into updated policies and system configurations.
  • • Provide white-glove support during year-end, open enrollment, and special projects (e.g., M&A integrations or global mobility cases), balancing high-volume transactional work with high-touch employee service.
  • • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure seamless integration between payroll, HRIS, time-tracking, and finance systems, eliminating data silos and reducing manual touchpoints.
  • • Foster an inclusive employee experience by educating staff on benefits, retirement savings, and total-reward statements, empowering them to make informed decisions about their health and financial well-being.
