- • As a Payroll Implementation GP Country Lead - APAC, you will serve as a subject matter expert for payroll implementation in the APAC region, ensuring compliant and timely delivery of global payroll solutions for Remote’s international clients.
- • Day to day, you will lead payroll implementation projects from inception through parallel runs and first-month live payroll, attend sales and client handover calls, develop project plans and SOPs, mentor Payroll Generalists, collaborate with internal teams on platform improvements via UAT, and maintain focus on KPIs and SLAs to ensure seamless transitions to Payroll Operations.
- • You will join Remote’s Global Payroll Operations team, a fully remote, asynchronous organization committed to solving global employment challenges through innovation, automation, and AI-driven HR solutions, with team members across six continents and a culture rooted in ownership, proactivity, and work-life harmony.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in APAC payroll legislation and tools (SAP, Excel/Google Sheets), lead cross-functional implementation initiatives, influence product development through feedback and testing, and grow as a leader in global payroll operations while contributing to Remote’s mission of fair, compliant international employment.
🎯 Requirements
- • Extensive payroll experience in a client payroll environment
- • Expert legislative knowledge in the APAC region (ideally Australia or Singapore)
- • Payroll implementation experience (ideally Australia or Singapore)
- • Strong communication skills for explaining payroll processes and issues to customers and stakeholders
- • Deep knowledge in using local payroll tools and software like SAP, Excel / Google Sheet
- • An analytical mindset with great problem-solving abilities
- • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, international work environment with a passion for making an impact
- • Experience in accounting/reconciliations
- • Productivity mindset with constant focus on improving and speeding up work
- • Understanding and preference for asynchronous work
- • Fluent English (written and spoken)
- • Remote work experience considered a plus
