📋 Description

  • As a Payroll Incident & Risk Lead at Remote Referral Board Inc., you will spearhead the strategic development and execution of global payroll risk and incident management, leading critical programs to enhance risk posture, drive resolution of high-impact incidents, and partner across teams to embed risk-aware thinking into everyday operations.
  • Day to day, you will design and oversee global risk management frameworks for payroll operations, own and evolve the global payroll risk register, lead cross-functional risk assessments, serve as the escalation point for complex or high-impact payroll incidents globally, lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) efforts, mentor team members, design and deliver training sessions, and translate incident data into cross-functional improvement initiatives.
  • You will join the Payroll Strategy & Compliance (PS&C) team within Remote, a fully remote company solving global employment compliance challenges for businesses of all sizes, with team members across 6 continents and a culture rooted in innovation, automation, AI, and asynchronous work.
  • In this role, you will develop leadership expertise in global payroll risk governance, incident response, and RCA methodologies; influence strategic planning and audit readiness; build scalable risk and incident management systems; and grow your ability to mentor teams and drive continuous improvement in a distributed, remote-first environment.
