📋 Description

• The Payroll Lead Consultant at Allstate is responsible for managing all U.S. payroll tax compliance activities, ensuring the organization meets federal, state, and local tax obligations while serving as the subject-matter expert on payroll tax matters.
• Day-to-day responsibilities include overseeing payroll tax compliance, managing tax filings and payments, validating reconciliations and amendments, handling tax notices and audits, maintaining internal controls, collaborating with cross-functional teams, driving process improvements, and managing tax policy and rate configurations in ADP systems.

• In this role, you will deepen your expertise in payroll tax compliance, gain mastery of ADP Smart Compliance and ADP GlobalView systems, lead audit readiness and SOX compliance efforts, and develop influence as a trusted advisor across Finance, HR, and Legal teams.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience) with 5–7 years of progressive experience in U.S. payroll and multi-state payroll tax compliance.
• Hands-on experience with ADP Smart Compliance and ADP GlobalView (or similar enterprise payroll system) for tax filing, funding, reconciliation, and issue resolution.
• In-depth knowledge of U.S. payroll tax laws and regulations (IRS, state/local income tax, unemployment insurance, FICA, etc.) and ability to stay current on regulatory changes.
• Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) is highly desirable.
