- • As a Payroll Operations Lead for LATAM at Remote Technologies Inc., you will play a key role in elevating payroll processes, driving standardization, and improving payroll delivery across Central America, directly impacting operational excellence in a fast-paced, international environment.
- • You will act as the subject matter expert for assigned Central American countries, processing end-to-end in-house payroll including data collection, validation, calculations, approvals, payments, and statutory compliance, while managing tax obligations, social security requirements, payroll accounting, reconciliations, and financial reporting support.
- • You will join Remote’s global Payroll Operations team within the Operations division, working asynchronously with colleagues across 6 continents, contributing to a mission-driven culture focused on compliant global employment and innovation through automation and AI.
- • You will have the opportunity to own end-to-end payroll processes, partner with cross-functional teams in Finance, Product, and Implementation, identify process gaps, drive continuous improvement and automation initiatives, and mentor other payroll specialists to support team development and knowledge sharing.
🎯 Requirements
- • Several years of experience in LATAM payroll with strong exposure to Central America, particularly Costa Rica, Guatemala, El Salvador, and Honduras.
- • Proven experience managing end-to-end payroll processes independently, including in-house payroll processing and payroll accounting and reconciliations.
- • Strong understanding of compliance, statutory filings, local labor regulations, tax regulations, social security, and statutory requirements across Central American countries.
- • Fluency in English and Spanish (written and spoken).
- • Ability to operate in a fast-paced, global environment, manage multiple priorities, and demonstrate strong stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- • Experience working cross-functionally with Finance, Product, or Implementation teams, and familiarity with payroll systems and tools, with automation or process improvement experience as a plus.
