📋 Description

• • As a Payroll Risk & Compliance Expert - Africa, you will be the owner of payroll compliance for your country or region, ensuring Remote meets and anticipates regulatory standards by translating complex legislation into scalable processes, systems, and documentation.
• • Day to day, you will partner with Product, Engineering, Design, Operations, and Legal to embed compliance into the global payroll platform, lead audits and investigations, design governance frameworks, mentor teams, and drive continuous improvement in compliance capability across the organization.
• • You will join Remote’s Payroll Strategy and Compliance team, a globally distributed, async-first group working to solve global employment compliance challenges through innovation, automation, and AI-enabled solutions, with a mission to build the best-in-class HR platform.
• • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in payroll compliance systems thinking, influence cross-functional stakeholders at scale, and grow as a mentor and architect of compliant, automated payroll operations that support international teams across Africa and beyond.
