- • As a Payroll Risk & Compliance Expert for LATAM, you will be the accountable owner of payroll compliance for your country or region, ensuring Remote meets and anticipates regulatory standards through deep expertise in local legislation and its application across audits, product design, and system logic.
- • Day to day, you will translate statutory rules into structured product requirements, lead multi-country audits and incident resolutions, design scalable compliance processes and governance frameworks, partner cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Legal, and Support teams, and enable internal teams through training, documentation, and knowledge sharing to embed compliance into Remote’s global payroll platform.

🎯 Requirements
- • Deep expertise in payroll and employment compliance for a LATAM country or region, including strong understanding of how legislation translates into payroll calculations and system logic.
- • Proven experience leading audits, regulatory reviews, or country-level compliance programs.
- • Experience partnering with technical teams (Product, Engineering) to convert statutory rules into product requirements and validate system outputs.
- • Strong communication and influencing skills to partner effectively with Product, Engineering, Legal, Support, and Senior Leadership stakeholders.
- • Confident investigator with sound judgment in high-risk or sensitive compliance scenarios, capable of driving root-cause analysis and permanent corrective actions.
- • Mentor and coach who grows team capability through training, documentation, and enablement initiatives.
