📋 Description
- • As a Payroll Risk & Compliance Expert for the Middle East, you will be the accountable owner of payroll compliance for your region, ensuring Remote meets and anticipates regulatory standards across its global payroll platform.
- • Day to day, you will translate complex local legislation into scalable product requirements, lead audits and investigations, design compliance processes and governance frameworks, mentor internal teams, and partner cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Legal, and Operations to embed compliance into decision-making.
- • Remote is a fully remote, global HR technology company solving the challenge of compliant international employment, with team members across six continents and a culture rooted in innovation, async work, and equity.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in global payroll compliance, shape scalable systems that automate regulatory adherence, and grow as a strategic influencer and mentor in a high-impact, fast-moving environment.
🎯 Requirements
- • Deep expertise in payroll and employment compliance for your country/region, including how legislation translates into payroll calculations and system logic.
- • Proven experience leading audits, regulatory reviews, or country-level compliance programs.
- • Experience partnering with technical teams to convert statutory rules into product requirements.
- • Strong communication and influencing skills across Product, Engineering, Legal, Support, and Senior Leadership.
- • Confident investigator with sound judgment in high-risk or sensitive compliance scenarios.
- • Mentor and coach who builds team capability through training, documentation, and enablement.
