📋 Description
- • As a Payroll Specialist Lead, you will serve as a subject matter expert for Croatia and Serbia, managing end-to-end payroll processes, ensuring compliance, and driving process improvements within Remote’s Global Payroll Operations Team.
- • Day to day, you will process full payroll cycles including statutory filings, exceptions, approvals, and payments; maintain data integrity; reconcile accounts; monitor KPIs and SLAs; mentor junior specialists; and support regional managers during absences.
- • Remote is a fully remote, global HR technology company solving international employment compliance through automation and AI, with team members across six continents and a culture rooted in innovation, asynchronous work, and employee empowerment.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in global payroll operations, lead process optimization initiatives, mentor team members, and grow into a trusted advisor across Finance, Product, and Engineering teams while contributing to fair, equitable compensation practices worldwide.
🎯 Requirements
- • Payroll management or equivalent experience
- • Proficiency in SAP, Excel, or Google Sheets
- • Professional working proficiency in both English and Serbian/Croatian
- • Experience working with Pantheon software
- • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, international, asynchronous work environment
- • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities
