📋 Description
- • As a Payroll Specialist Lead in Japan, you will serve as a subject matter expert for payroll operations in the region, ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely processing of payroll for Remote’s global workforce while driving process improvements and mentoring team members.
- • Day to day, you will manage end-to-end payroll processing including statutory filings, approvals, payments, and reconciliations; maintain data integrity; support payroll specialists; back up regional managers; and collaborate with Finance, Product, and Engineering teams to improve systems and workflows.
- • You will join Remote’s Global Payroll Operations Team, part of a fully remote, mission-driven company solving global employment compliance through innovation, automation, and AI, with team members across six continents and a culture rooted in asynchronous work and employee empowerment.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in international payroll compliance, lead process optimization initiatives, develop mentoring and leadership skills, and contribute to scaling payroll operations in a high-growth, globally distributed organization.
