- • The Payroll Specialist Lead - Ukraine is a critical role within Remote’s global payroll organization, responsible for delivering accurate, compliant payroll operations in Ukraine while contributing to the scalability and improvement of global payroll processes.
- • Day to day, the role involves ensuring payroll is processed accurately and on time, owning end-to-end payroll execution for assigned jurisdictions, acting as a subject matter expert on Ukrainian payroll regulations, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, identifying and resolving discrepancies, supporting process improvements, and contributing to automation and AI-enabled tool adoption.
- • The Payroll Operations team at Remote is part of a globally distributed, async-first workforce spanning 6 continents, focused on building a best-in-class HR platform that enables compliant international employment through innovation, automation, and AI integration.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in complex multi-jurisdictional payroll, strengthen cross-functional collaboration skills, drive operational improvements, and gain experience influencing scalable payroll systems in a fast-moving, remote-first tech environment.
🎯 Requirements
- • Meaningful mid-senior career experience in Ukrainian payroll operations, including hands-on responsibility for end-to-end payroll processing in Ukraine
- • Experience managing payroll in multi-country environments or global organizations, with exposure to different payroll systems and local regulatory frameworks
- • Strong understanding of payroll controls, reconciliations, statutory reporting, and compliance requirements
- • Proficiency in payroll tools and data analysis using in-house and external platforms
- • Strong written and oral communication skills, comfortable working in asynchronous and globally distributed environments
- • Demonstrated fluency in English; additional languages are a plus
