- • As an Implementation Data Architect (IDA) at Availity, you will be a pivotal senior technical leader, operating at the forefront of healthcare technology innovation. Your primary responsibility will be to design, meticulously map, and expertly implement complex data architectures that are essential for onboarding enterprise-scale clients and facilitating seamless information exchange. This role demands a strategic blend of technical acumen and client-facing prowess, positioning you as a trusted advisor to both our esteemed clients and internal stakeholders.
- • You will be instrumental in translating intricate business and functional requirements into robust, scalable, secure, and cloud-native data solutions. This involves a deep dive into data modeling, cross-model data mapping, and leveraging cutting-edge AWS cloud architecture. A significant aspect of this role includes hands-on exposure to AI-enabled data solutions, pushing the boundaries of what's possible in healthcare data management.
- • Your day-to-day will involve leading the design and implementation of end-to-end data architectures that underpin complex client onboarding processes. This includes developing and maintaining conceptual, logical, and physical data models across diverse systems and platforms, ensuring consistency and integrity.
- • A core function is architecting and documenting comprehensive source-to-target mappings, transformation logic, and detailed data lineage across heterogeneous data models. This ensures transparency and traceability throughout the data lifecycle.
- • You will be the primary data architecture lead during client onboarding and implementation engagements, facilitating critical client workshops, discovery sessions, and data mapping reviews. Your ability to present complex architecture designs, data flows, and implementation strategies to both technical and non-technical audiences with clarity and confidence will be paramount.
- • As a trusted technical advisor, you will articulate design options, analyze trade-offs, and provide well-reasoned recommendations, guiding clients through complex data challenges.
- • You will design and implement cloud-native data solutions, primarily leveraging Amazon Web Services (AWS). This includes utilizing a range of AWS services such as S3, EMR, Glue, Athena, Redshift, EC2, and Lambda to construct scalable and efficient data pipelines.
- • A key focus will be ensuring that all data solutions adhere to the AWS Well-Architected Framework principles, with a strong emphasis on security, reliability, performance, and cost optimization. You will also support production data platforms through proactive monitoring, performance tuning, and the implementation of operational best practices.
- • Collaboration with engineering teams is crucial for supporting big data processing initiatives using technologies like Spark, Spark SQL, and Scala or PySpark. You will utilize tools like Jupyter Notebooks for in-depth data analysis, validation, and rapid prototyping.
- • You will contribute significantly to AI/ML-enabled data initiatives, which includes meticulous data preparation, feature engineering, and the seamless integration of AI outputs into downstream systems, driving intelligent insights and automation.
- • Ensuring data quality, validation, reconciliation, and adherence to robust governance standards will be a continuous effort, maintaining the integrity and trustworthiness of our data assets.
- • You will work with a variety of structured and semi-structured data formats, including XML, JSON, Parquet, Avro, and custom flat files, demonstrating adaptability and broad technical expertise.
- • Applying healthcare data standards, such as FHIR and HL7 where applicable, and best practices for provider data management will be essential for ensuring compliance and interoperability within the healthcare ecosystem.
- • A critical responsibility is ensuring that all systems and processes comply with HIPAA and other stringent healthcare data privacy regulations, safeguarding sensitive patient information.
- • You will collaborate closely with various stakeholders to define, implement, and enforce comprehensive data governance and security controls, establishing a secure and compliant data environment.
- • Translating complex business, functional, and technical requirements into clear, concise, and actionable architectural designs is a fundamental aspect of this role.
- • You will support Agile delivery processes, utilizing tools like Jira and Confluence to manage project workflows and documentation effectively.
- • The ability to manage multiple complex client implementations concurrently, while consistently maintaining high quality and meeting delivery timelines, is a testament to your organizational and project management skills.
- • You will have the opportunity to mentor and guide implementation analysts, data engineers, and junior architects, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and professional development within the team.
- • This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of healthcare data management, drive innovation, and make a tangible impact on patient care by enabling efficient and effective healthcare operations through advanced data solutions.
