đź“‹ Description

  • • Bupa is seeking a dedicated and experienced People Business Partner to join our team on a 6-month fixed-term contract. This pivotal role is instrumental in driving our mission of 'Making Health Happen' by supporting both our Insurance and Functions divisions. You will be at the forefront of implementing people-related initiatives that create a tangible positive impact, from enhancing colleague engagement and navigating organisational change, to leveraging data-driven insights for strategic decision-making. By working in close partnership with managers, you will play a crucial role in embedding people strategies that foster a culture where our colleagues genuinely 'Love Working Here'.
  • • In this dynamic position, your primary focus will be on executing impactful people initiatives that align with and advance our overarching business strategy. This encompasses a broad range of responsibilities designed to optimise the employee experience and support business objectives.
  • • You will take the lead on managing and implementing small to medium-sized HR projects and significant change programmes across the Insurance and Functions departments. This involves meticulous planning, execution, and monitoring to ensure successful outcomes and minimal disruption.
  • • A key aspect of your role will be to actively support managers in their efforts to improve colleague engagement levels. This includes guiding them on best practices, facilitating the adoption of new people processes, and ensuring these are effectively embedded within their teams.
  • • You will be adept at utilising people data and analytics to diagnose complex issues, pinpoint underlying root causes, and subsequently develop and propose effective, data-informed solutions. This analytical approach is critical for driving continuous improvement and strategic HR interventions.
  • • Ensuring robust engagement, clear communication, and widespread adoption of HR frameworks, toolkits, and processes will be a core responsibility. You will act as a champion for these initiatives, ensuring they are understood and effectively utilised across the business.
  • • You will be responsible for the successful implementation of cyclical people activities. This includes managing engagement pulse surveys, facilitating performance conversations, and overseeing the annual pay review process, ensuring fairness and consistency.
  • • In smaller projects that span across Insurance and/or Functions, you will serve as the dedicated People workstream lead. This requires coordinating HR-related activities and ensuring alignment with broader project goals.
  • • Collaboration is key in this role. You will work closely with various members of the wider People Team to deliver a comprehensive suite of both strategic and operational people services, ensuring a cohesive and effective HR function.
  • • We are looking for an individual who can seamlessly integrate into our team and immediately contribute. Essential experience includes a proven track record of leading and embedding HR projects across substantial employee groups. This requires strong project management skills and the ability to navigate complex organisational structures.
  • • Significant change management experience is vital, coupled with the ability to thrive and operate effectively within a matrix organisation. Understanding how to influence and drive change without direct line management is crucial.
  • • Exceptional diagnostic skills are a must. You should be adept at identifying problems, understanding their root causes, and formulating practical, effective solutions that address the core issues.
  • • You must have prior experience partnering closely with people managers, actively engaging employees in new processes, and fostering adoption of new ways of working. This involves strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • • A broad and comprehensive understanding of HR principles and practices is required, covering key areas such as recruitment, reward, employee engagement, talent management, and learning and development.
  • • You will need the confidence and capability to partner with and influence senior leaders, presenting insights and recommendations effectively to drive strategic decisions.
  • • A demonstrable track record of delivering high-quality outcomes and building a strong reputation for excellence in previous HR roles is essential.
  • • Experience working within large, multi-site, or complex organisations, particularly those with diverse employee demographics, is highly desirable, as it indicates an ability to manage varied stakeholder needs and operational environments.
  • • This role offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact within a leading health and wellbeing organisation, contributing directly to our purpose of helping people live longer, healthier, happier lives.
