  • • As a People Business Partner at loveholidays.com Ltd, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our people strategy, acting as a strategic advisor and trusted partner to key business functions. Reporting directly to the Head of People Business Partnering, you will be an integral part of a dynamic People & Culture team that champions an integrated partnership model. Your primary responsibility will be to embed yourself within specific business areas, fostering strong relationships with Directors and managers who prioritize a people-first approach.
  • • This role is about more than just operational HR; it's about actively contributing to the company's growth and success by ensuring our people are at the forefront of our strategy. You will be instrumental in bridging the gap between high-level people initiatives and the daily realities of our teams, creating environments where employees can thrive and contribute to our ambitious goals. Your influence will be visible in the development of talent, the enhancement of our unique culture, and the successful navigation of our international expansion.
  • • A core aspect of your day-to-day will involve developing deep, strategic relationships with department heads. You will move beyond transactional support to offer genuine coaching and act as a critical thinking partner, challenging the status quo and empowering managers to lead their teams with confidence and commercial acumen. This involves understanding their challenges, providing insights, and collaboratively developing solutions that align with both people objectives and business outcomes.
  • • You will be a key driver in nurturing talent and identifying future leaders. In close collaboration with our Talent Centre of Excellence (CoE), you will lead initiatives such as succession planning and talent mapping. Your efforts will focus on identifying high-potential individuals, ensuring robust development plans are in place for them and their teams, and fostering a continuous growth mindset across the organization. This proactive approach to talent management is crucial for our long-term success and scalability.
  • • Driving a culture of high performance is another critical area of focus. You will guide the performance management rhythm within your designated functions, shifting the emphasis from traditional annual reviews to a model of continuous feedback and development. Ensuring that individual and team goals are directly aligned with our commercial targets will be paramount, creating a clear line of sight between employee contributions and business success.
  • • A significant part of your role will involve leveraging people data to inform strategy and drive action. You will analyze key metrics, such as employee engagement scores and turnover trends, to uncover the underlying reasons behind these numbers. Your ability to translate data into compelling narratives will enable you to propose proactive, data-driven solutions that enhance the overall employee experience and address potential issues before they escalate.
  • • As loveholidays continues its international growth trajectory, you will be a key player in managing organizational change and workforce planning. You will guide your teams through periods of evolution, ensuring that transitions are managed smoothly, communications are clear and empathetic, and employees feel supported throughout every change. Your role will be to maintain stability and momentum during periods of growth and transformation.
  • • You will be expected to champion our unique culture, ensuring it remains strong and inclusive as we scale. This involves actively promoting our values, fostering a sense of belonging, and ensuring that our people-first philosophy is reflected in all aspects of the employee lifecycle.
  • • Furthermore, you will be encouraged to embrace and explore the opportunities presented by AI tools to simplify and automate people processes, enhancing efficiency and allowing more time for strategic, high-value activities. Your proactive engagement with new technologies will contribute to the modernization of our People & Culture function.
  • • This role offers a unique opportunity to make a tangible impact on a rapidly growing travel company. You will be empowered to take ownership of projects, shape business strategies, and contribute to the collective success of our passionate and collaborative international community. Your work will directly influence the employee experience and the overall effectiveness of our business operations.
  • • You will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with employment law, particularly in the UK, and will contribute to the development and implementation of people policies and practices that support our business objectives and foster a positive work environment.
  • • Collaborating with other members of the People & Culture team, you will contribute to broader HR projects and initiatives, sharing best practices and ensuring a cohesive approach to people management across the organization.
  • • Ultimately, your success will be measured by your ability to build strong partnerships, drive positive employee outcomes, and contribute to a high-performing, engaged, and culturally aligned workforce that supports loveholidays' mission to open the world to everyone.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Significant experience in managing employee relations cases and supporting managers through various ER situations.
  • • Demonstrated experience in organizational design and working with senior leaders on optimizing organizational structures.
  • • Strong commercial acumen and the ability to understand the link between people strategy and business performance.
  • • Excellent influencing and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and credibility with senior stakeholders.
  • • A "people-first" mindset with a natural ability to build authentic relationships and deliver high-quality support.
  • • Agility in problem-solving and comfort with ambiguity, capable of finding creative solutions to complex people challenges.
  • • Data-savvy with the ability to analyze people metrics and present insights to inform decision-making.
  • • Experience or confidence in leveraging AI tools to simplify and automate HR processes.
  • • Solid understanding of UK employment law; experience with EMEA jurisdictions is a strong advantage.
