Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Serve as the founding People Data Analytics Lead, building Harvey’s people analytics function from the ground up with a focus on connecting the full employee lifecycle — recruiting, onboarding, engagement, performance, mobility, retention, and exits — into a single, actionable narrative that identifies where exceptional talent thrives or breaks down.
- • Own the vision and roadmap for Harvey’s people data infrastructure, partnering with Data Engineering and Security to design and implement a scalable data layer in Snowflake (or similar), including role-based access controls and data governance policies.
- • Consolidate workforce data across multiple HR systems including Workday, Ashby, Envoy, and Culture Amp, and establish data quality frameworks to ensure accuracy, consistency, and trustworthiness at scale.
- • Define and maintain Harvey’s official People Metrics Dictionary, standardizing how key workforce metrics — such as headcount, attrition, hiring velocity, and workforce trends — are measured and reported across all teams.
- • Design predictive and diagnostic frameworks to forecast headcount needs, model attrition risks, segment the workforce by function and region, and benchmark against market trends — with the goal of explaining not just what is happening, but why.
- • Move beyond static reporting to enable proactive intervention by identifying leading indicators of organizational risk, manager behavior patterns, and operational friction points that impact talent retention and performance.
- • Build executive-level dashboards with drill-down capabilities by org, region, and function to provide clear, actionable visibility into workforce dynamics that inform strategic leadership decisions.
- • Create a self-service foundation for partner teams (Total Rewards, Recruiting Ops, PBPs, Finance) by designing intuitive tooling, documentation, and frameworks that allow them to generate insights independently without relying on centralized analytics.
- • Drive alignment across People Ops, Finance, Recruiting Ops, and People Systems to establish consistent reporting cadences and ensure analytics directly support strategic people decisions.
- • Set the standard for data craft within People Ops by reviewing work, mentoring partner teams, and elevating the overall analytical capability across the organization.
- • Leverage AI-native workflows daily to automate repetitive analysis tasks, accelerate insight generation, and scale the impact of the people analytics function — treating AI as a core force multiplier in all workflows.
- • Communicate complex data findings persuasively to executives, translating metrics into clear, actionable recommendations that drive organizational change and talent strategy.
- • Operate with autonomy in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment, taking ownership of outcomes and iterating rapidly based on feedback from leadership and partner teams.
- • Uphold Harvey’s core values of Decisiveness, Simplicity, and Job’s Not Finished by acting on clear judgment, prioritizing scalable simplicity, and relentlessly pursuing improvement.
🎯 Requirements
- • 7+ years in people analytics, HR data, or workforce analytics, ideally at a high-growth tech company
- • Track record of building people analytics functions, frameworks, or methodologies from scratch
- • Strong SQL skills — ability to write complex queries, validate data quality, and collaborate with data engineers on schema design and transformation logic
- • Hands-on experience with a cloud data warehouse (Snowflake strongly preferred)
- • Experience with at least one data visualization tool (Looker, Tableau, Power BI, or similar)
- • Direct experience with Workday (HRIS) and an ATS; understanding of how people data is structured and what breaks in these systems
🏖️ Benefits
- • Compensation range of $180,000 - $270,000 USD depending on location
- • Opportunity to build a generational company at a critical inflection point with 1500+ customers in 60+ countries
- • Work alongside a team that operates with intensity, ownership, and commitment to excellence
- • Access to AI-native workflows and tools to accelerate impact and scale output
