- • The People (HR) Operations Specialist at OpenAI plays a critical role in maintaining employee data integrity and supporting seamless employee lifecycle processes, from onboarding to offboarding, ensuring operational excellence across global teams.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include maintaining Workday data accuracy, responding to employee and cross-functional inquiries, supporting global onboarding (including executives and acquisitions), partnering with Legal, Compliance, Payroll, Finance, IT, and other teams to ensure compliance and efficiency, driving process improvements through automation and AI, and leading cross-functional initiatives to enhance employee experience metrics.
- • The People Operations team at OpenAI is the backbone of employee lifecycle management, partnering across the organization to deliver precision, adaptability, and innovation in onboarding, mobility, M&A, compliance, and process optimization, all while scaling with rapid organizational growth.
- • In this role, you will develop deep expertise in HR systems (especially Workday), process design, data analytics, and change management; gain exposure to global HR operations and cutting-edge AI applications in HR; and position yourself as a strategic partner capable of driving scalable, efficient, and employee-centric HR solutions in a high-growth AI innovator.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years of experience in HR or People Operations during company growth and scaling
- • Proficiency with Workday and advanced spreadsheet analysis (e.g., Google Apps Scripts)
- • Ability to deconstruct business processes and identify root causes of inefficiencies
- • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to explain complex concepts simply
- • Passion for using AI solutions to automate HR administrative work and improve employee experience
- • Unwavering attention to detail, rigor, and commitment to operational excellence
