  • • The People Operations Generalist will serve as the go-to expert for all people operations functions in the Vienna office, supporting the full employee lifecycle including onboarding, offboarding, benefits, leaves, payroll coordination, immigration, and HRIS administration, while also providing backup support for the Amsterdam office and future EMEA locations.
  • • Day-to-day responsibilities include collaborating with Payroll, Legal, Finance, IT, Talent Acquisition, and Workplace teams to ensure accurate data exchange and efficient operations, partnering with global People and Legal teams to maintain compliance with cross-border employment laws, using HR data and metrics to inform strategic decisions, and contributing to the development and localization of HR policies and programs.
  • • The role involves acting as a cultural steward for the Vienna office, fostering inclusion, trust, and connection within the team while aligning with Sentry’s global values, and proactively identifying issues, proposing solutions, and helping shape the future of global people operations.

  • • Reporting to the U.S.-based Head of HR, this 13-month fixed-term contract role is based in Vienna with a hybrid model requiring in-office presence on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, and includes potential for conversion to a permanent position for high performers.

🎯 Requirements

  • • At least 5 years of progressive human resources or people operations experience with full employee lifecycle management, including onboarding/offboarding, benefits, leaves, payroll coordination, immigration, and HRIS administration.
  • • Strong working knowledge of Austrian labor law and employment practices.
  • • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both German and English.
  • • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, or a related field preferred.
  • • Tech-savvy with ability to learn new systems quickly; experience with tools like Notion, JIRA, or Lattice is a plus.
  • • Must be based in the Vienna area or willing to relocate and able to work in-office a minimum of 3 days per week (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday).
