- • Manage end-to-end payroll operations for US, Canadian, and international employees, ensuring accurate, timely payments and full compliance with local tax and labor regulations
- • Oversee the onboarding experience for all new hires across global locations, ensuring seamless transitions and compliance with local employment requirements
- • Maintain and update company policies, the employee handbook, and Notion workspace to reflect current labor laws and internal standards
- • Process and track employee expenses and reimbursements using Ramp, ensuring accurate financial records and timely disbursements
- • Lead the planning and execution of company-wide events, town halls, and recognition programs designed to foster engagement and culture
- • Ensure data integrity across HRIS platforms and dashboards to support reporting, audits, and operational decision-making
- • Identify and implement automation and workflow improvements to reduce manual HR tasks as the global team scales
- • Partner with Finance, Legal, Security, and the broader People team to maintain compliant, scalable HR processes across multiple jurisdictions
- • Administer employee benefits including health, dental, and vision coverage for employees and dependents in the US and Canada
- • Manage 401(k) and RRSP contributions with 4% company matching for eligible US and Canadian employees
- • Coordinate the delivery of company-provided equipment, including MacBook Pro and home office setup stipend, to all remote employees
- • Administer monthly meal stipends, monthly social meet-up stipends, annual health and wellness stipends, and annual learning stipends
- • Maintain strict confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive employee data and personnel matters
- • Build strong relationships with employees and contractors across diverse cultural and geographic locations to support inclusive, high-performance culture
- • Stay current on Canadian employment law, CRA requirements, and international labor compliance standards to ensure organizational adherence
- • Collaborate with global teams to standardize HR practices while respecting regional legal and cultural differences
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years in People Operations, HR, or relevant roles
- • Experience with global payroll systems across US, Canada, and multiple international jurisdictions
- • Strong knowledge of Canadian employment law, CRA coordination, and tax compliance
- • Hands-on experience managing onboarding for employees and contractors in a global context
- • Proficiency with HRIS tools such as Rippling, Deel, Ramp, Asana, and Notion
- • Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail and accuracy
