📋 Description

• As a People Partner at Verto Inc., you will serve as a trusted ally to employees in India and Africa, ensuring the people strategy aligns with business goals through data-driven engagement and progressive HR practices.
• Day to day, you will use people metrics to identify trends, design and execute culture and engagement initiatives, handle sensitive employee relations, facilitate learning and development programs, lead salary benchmarking, advise on local labour laws, diagnose skill gaps, create training programmes, and build career pathways for talent growth.
• Verto is a mission-driven fintech company democratizing global finance for businesses in Emerging Markets, backed by Y-Combinator, Quona, and MEVP, with recognition from Milken-Motsepe Prize, CNBC, Deloitte Fast 50, and Sifted.
• You will learn to apply data to HR strategy, influence global teams, design scalable L&D programs, navigate cross-border compliance, and grow as a strategic HR leader in a high-growth, inclusive, and innovative environment.

🎯 Requirements

• 4+ years of experience as an HR Business Partner or HR Generalist, primarily functioning as a strong Individual Contributor focused on partnering with key functions in an early stage organisation
• Deep understanding of local labour laws and compliance in India, with a working knowledge of the employment landscape in various African countries
• Excellent conflict resolution and coaching skills, with a progressive approach to performance management, talent development, and employee relations
• Exceptional communication skills, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively with, influence, and support diverse, distributed global teams
