📋 Description

• • As a Performance Engineer at Adaptive ML, you will be at the core of building the foundational technology that powers a cutting-edge Reinforcement Learning Operations (RLOps) platform, enabling enterprises to specialize and deploy large language models (LLMs) at scale with measurable impact on cost and performance.
• • Your work will directly influence the reliability, efficiency, and scalability of systems serving millions of requests in production AI environments, making this role critical to the company’s mission of pioneering task-specific LLM development.
• • Day to day, you will write high-quality, production-grade Rust code focused on correctness, performance, and robustness across large-scale distributed systems.
• • You will diagnose and resolve complex bugs at the hardware–software boundary, particularly in distributed environments where subtle interactions can impact system behavior.
• • You will contribute to the product roadmap by identifying emerging trends in generative AI and reinforcement learning, surfacing technical insights that inform engineering priorities.
• • You will engage with the latest research developments to ensure Adaptive ML’s infrastructure remains at the forefront of AI innovation.
• • You will collaborate closely with engineering, research, and product teams in a distributed, asynchronous-first environment, communicating progress and findings clearly through written documentation.
• • You will partner cross-functionally to design and deliver scalable, robust solutions that meet the demands of enterprise-scale AI workloads.
