- • As a Physician Recruiter (Contract-to-Hire) at Counsel.com, Inc., you will play a pivotal role in scaling the company’s physician and provider network by identifying, engaging, and closing high-caliber MDs and DOs who are eager to practice at the forefront of AI-native healthcare. Your work directly enables Counsel Health’s mission to multiply global healthcare capacity through its fully vertical, AI-native medical group, ensuring that technological innovation is matched by clinical excellence.
- • You will lead full-cycle recruitment for physicians, managing every stage from initial sourcing and outreach to interview coordination, credentialing hand-offs, and offer closure, while serving as a trusted advisor to clinical leadership on provider personas, shift requirements, and quality standards in partnership with the Chief Medical Officer.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include executing targeted sourcing strategies to attract clinicians with a digital-first mindset, leveraging professional networks, digital platforms, and telehealth communities; mastering Counsel’s AI-native platform to effectively pitch its value proposition—reducing administrative burden, augmenting clinical workflows, and improving patient outcomes—to skeptical physicians; refining clinical interview loops and onboarding workflows within Ashby ATS to ensure a seamless, professional experience; and providing market intelligence on telehealth compensation trends, competitor activity, and evolving provider expectations.
- • You will collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders, including clinical, product, and engineering teams, to align hiring strategy with product evolution and organizational goals, ensuring that recruitment processes reflect both medical rigor and technological innovation.
- • The Counsel.com team combines deep medical expertise from institutions like Harvard, Mt. Sinai, Mass General, and UCSF with technology leadership from Google, DeepMind, NVIDIA, MIT, and Stripe, creating a unique environment where clinical insight and technical advancement drive innovation in virtual care delivery.
- • In this role, you will develop deep expertise in AI-enabled healthcare delivery, gain experience scaling a high-growth health-tech startup backed by top-tier VCs (a16z, Google Ventures, Pear VC), and refine your ability to bridge clinical and technical domains—positioning you as a leader in the emerging field of AI-native medical recruitment and provider enablement.
🎯 Requirements
- • 4+ years of clinical recruiting experience focused specifically on hiring physicians (MDs/DOs)
- • Proven track record in telehealth or digital health environments with experience recruiting for virtual care roles
- • Demonstrated ability to master and articulate complex technical products (e.g., AI platforms) to clinical audiences
- • Proficiency with modern ATS tools, particularly Ashby, for pipeline tracking and reporting
- • Strong operational knowledge of physician licensure, credentialing, and scheduling nuances in clinical hiring
🏖️ Benefits
- • Contract-to-hire pathway with clear intent to convert to full-time based on performance and business needs
- • Fully remote work arrangement offering flexibility and geographic independence
- • Opportunity to work with a mission-driven company backed by $35M+ in funding from top-tier venture capital firms
- • Exposure to cutting-edge AI-native healthcare technology and direct collaboration with clinical and technical leaders from elite institutions
