- • Lead daily field operations for ground loop construction, including HDPE pipe installation, fusion, pressure testing, system flushing/filling, and loop commissioning alongside your crew.
- • Serve as the primary on-site resource for helper-level crew members, providing hands-on guidance on safe work practices, quality standards, and task execution.
- • Install underground HDPE piping systems by digging trenches, handling pipe segments, and supporting landscape restoration to rough grade after installation.
- • Maintain organized job sites with properly stocked materials and ready-to-use equipment to ensure uninterrupted workflow and efficiency.
- • Conduct daily equipment inspections and consistently model safe work behaviors to uphold company safety protocols and reduce field risks.
- • Operate heavy machinery including mini-excavators, skid steers, and grout pumps, while mentoring helpers to develop proficiency with these tools.
- • Drive company vehicles to and from job sites across the Denver Metro Area, ensuring compliance with company insurance requirements and maintaining a clean driving record.
- • Manage daily workflow adaptability as job site priorities shift, making real-time decisions to keep projects on schedule without direct supervision.
- • Uphold high personal standards for quality and safety, actively encouraging crew members to meet or exceed those standards through example and peer support.
- • Perform sustained physical labor in all weather conditions, including lifting and maneuvering 50 lbs overhead and working in extreme heat, cold, rain, or snow.
- • Collaborate with the Ground Loop Commissioning Lead to execute field tasks according to technical specifications and project timelines.
- • Support the scaling of residential geothermal installations by delivering reliable, high-quality ground loop systems that meet Dandelion’s engineering and operational benchmarks.
- • Contribute to a mission-driven team focused on transforming home heating and cooling through clean, efficient geothermal technology.
🎯 Requirements
- • 2+ years of experience in underground utilities, pipefitting, plumbing, or mechanical construction
- • Some experience acting as a senior hand, lead worker, or informal crew lead
- • Valid driver's license with a safe driving record that meets company insurance requirements; CDL is a plus
- • Personal vehicle and ability/willingness to drive to job sites within approximately 75 miles
- • Ability to lift 50 lbs overhead and perform sustained physical labor in all weather conditions
- • Deep comfort working outdoors year-round in physically demanding conditions
