Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Own the end-to-end life cycle of Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) enhancements, from initial stakeholder interviews and requirement gathering through user-acceptance testing, deployment, and post-implementation monitoring. You will translate complex oncology workflows into clear technical specifications that developers, QA, and lab scientists can execute with confidence.
- • Serve as the primary liaison between laboratory operations, pathology, molecular services, and the IT engineering teams. You will run weekly backlog-grooming sessions, facilitate sprint planning, and present release notes to ensure every enhancement aligns with NeoGenomics’ mission of delivering faster, more accurate cancer diagnostics.
- • Analyze large volumes of lab data—turnaround times, sample volumes, error rates, and regulatory compliance metrics—to uncover bottlenecks and propose data-driven solutions. Your insights will directly influence platform roadmaps that reduce result delivery time and improve patient outcomes.
- • Design and maintain comprehensive process documentation, including standard operating procedures, user stories, acceptance criteria, and data-flow diagrams. These artifacts will become the single source of truth for auditors, new hires, and cross-functional partners.
- • Champion continuous improvement by leading Kaizen events and root-cause analyses for high-impact incidents. You will quantify ROI for each initiative and present findings to senior leadership, ensuring that every change delivers measurable value.
- • Configure, test, and validate new LIMS features in close collaboration with Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs. You will execute test scripts, document deviations, and ensure 21 CFR Part 11, HIPAA, and CAP/CLIA compliance before any code reaches production.
- • Provide tier-3 support for escalated LIMS issues, leveraging SQL queries, log reviews, and system monitoring tools to diagnose problems quickly. You will maintain a 95 % SLA adherence while mentoring junior analysts on troubleshooting best practices.
- • Drive user adoption by developing role-based training curricula, quick-reference guides, and e-learning modules. You will host monthly “LIMS Power Hour” webinars and maintain an internal knowledge base that reduces support tickets by 20 % year-over-year.
- • Collaborate with cybersecurity and infrastructure teams to implement robust access controls, single sign-on, and audit trails that protect sensitive patient data. You will participate in quarterly penetration-test remediation and ensure that all LIMS integrations meet SOC 2 Type II standards.
- • Stay ahead of industry trends by attending molecular pathology conferences, evaluating emerging LIMS vendors, and piloting next-gen capabilities such as AI-driven sample routing and real-time genomic data streaming. Your thought leadership will keep NeoGenomics at the forefront of precision oncology.
