- • Azelis Agricultural & Environmental Solutions (A&ES) is seeking an experienced and innovative Technical Sales Representative to join their dynamic team, focusing on the Public Health, Forestry, Range & Pasture, Vegetation Management, and broader Agricultural markets.
- • This pivotal role is responsible for cultivating and expanding business within an assigned geographical territory, encompassing both existing and prospective customers.
- • The primary objective is to drive sales and provide exceptional service for Azelis's range of specialty chemical and food ingredient products.
- • You will be instrumental in achieving high levels of sales efficiency by proactively identifying and capitalizing on profitable sales opportunities.
- • A key responsibility involves optimizing sales results by strategically prioritizing and selling products that offer the highest profitability to the company, while also making informed decisions to disengage from sales or services that do not align with the company's strategic focus or profitability objectives.
- • Accurate and timely sales forecasting is crucial; you will be required to provide monthly and annual sales forecasts for your product portfolio and designated region.
- • Effective utilization and management of the Azelis A&ES Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system is essential for tracking customer interactions, sales activities, and pipeline management.
- • Continuous development and maintenance of a high level of product knowledge is expected, achieved through diligent study of product data sheets and technical documentation.
- • You will be expected to develop a level of expertise that allows you to act as a trusted problem-solver for customers, thereby significantly enhancing the value Azelis provides.
- • Building and sustaining strong, long-term relationships with all key personnel at each designated account is paramount to ensuring business continuity and fostering growth.
- • You will play an active role in planning, executing, and supporting local marketing activities, adhering to agreed budgets and timelines.
- • Your personal sales efforts will be integrated with broader marketing initiatives, including product launches, promotional campaigns, advertising, trade shows, and telemarketing efforts.
- • Comprehensive written technical reports are required for all sales calls, detailing significant information such as new or lost business, pricing adjustments, product usage rates, competitive strategies, and emerging development projects.
- • Collaboration with the VP of Sales is expected in setting ambitious goals and short-term targets to increase sales volume with each customer, and in developing and implementing effective sales strategies to achieve these targets profitably.
- • You will identify and establish necessary focus target accounts for key suppliers, where applicable.
- • Joint sales calls with supplier representatives on key customers will be scheduled and conducted to introduce new products and discuss existing offerings, with the ultimate goal of increasing sales.
- • You will be responsible for recommending pricing levels at customer accounts and maintaining detailed logs for all non-standard pricing agreements, submitting proposals for management approval.
- • Planning and managing travel and entertainment (T&E) expenses in strict accordance with agreed-upon budgets is a core administrative duty.
- • You will diligently manage all administrative functions and responsibilities associated with the role, ensuring compliance with all company practices, policies, and procedures.
- • Establishing, developing, and sustaining effective working relationships with internal team members, including supply chain, customer service, and pricing departments, is vital for seamless operations.
- • Presenting innovative technical solutions to customers will involve leveraging Azelis's laboratory resources, the expertise of industry specialists, and the capabilities of world-class suppliers.
- • A key performance indicator will be the growth of Gross Profit (GP) within your territory, achieving budgeted sales goals.
- • You will work closely with the established customer base to develop accurate forecasts essential for effective business planning.
- • Tracking and utilizing market and competitive pricing intelligence, in partnership with the bid management team, will be crucial for effectively responding to customer Requests for Bids (RFBs).
- • Increasing the customer product base by successfully cross-selling additional products to existing accounts is a significant growth objective.
- • You will coordinate and schedule specific, targeted sales visits with suppliers and the VP of Product Development.
- • Driving increased sales volume and market share for all company-specific products is a primary responsibility.
- • Regular monthly business reports and synopses of all activity within your specific market(s) are required.
- • Opportunities within the CRM system must be logged and updated in a timely manner.
- • You will develop both short-term and long-term strategic sales plans to guide your territory's growth.
- • Attendance at regional and national trade shows is expected, along with potential participation in relevant industry associations such as the American Mosquito Control Association.
