📋 Description

• As a Platform Development Specialist for Protein Therapy at Sartorius AG, you will serve as a critical technical enabler supporting early-stage biopharmaceutical development across the US and Canada, directly contributing to the acceleration of life-saving therapies by aligning Sartorius’ cutting-edge platforms with customer needs in mAb and protein-based drug development.
• You will collaborate closely with Sales Representatives and Application Specialists to uncover customer process challenges, evaluate technology fit, and drive adoption of Sartorius solutions throughout the development lifecycle—from pilot to production scale—ensuring technical excellence and long-term partnership value.
• Your day-to-day responsibilities include supporting sales pipeline development by reviewing customer process maps and identifying strategic opportunities, providing expert guidance on scale-up and scale-down strategies to compress timelines, and serving as the technical lead for high-impact opportunities to secure long-term business.
• You will build and maintain strong relationships with internal R&D, product, and marketing teams as well as external customers, introducing advanced bioprocessing best practices and developing practical tools, visual aids, and application notes that communicate complex value propositions clearly and effectively.
• You will collaborate with product application specialists to evaluate new demos, platforms, and trial outcomes, contribute to marketing initiatives for new product launches targeting key therapeutic segments, and establish regular communication channels between sales and application teams to ensure alignment on opportunities and customer feedback.
• You will author and publish process- and platform-related technical papers or application notes, reinforcing Sartorius’ thought leadership in biologics development and supporting regulatory and scientific credibility in the field.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of industry experience OR a Master’s degree (or higher) in a life sciences discipline with 2+ years of industry experience
• At least 2 years of hands-on experience in biopharmaceutical process development or production, particularly with monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) or protein-based therapies
• Strong understanding of biologics drug development and application processes from both domestic and international perspectives, including broad theoretical and practical experience in process development at pilot and production scales
• Proven expertise in cGMP bioprocessing unit operations and related regulatory requirements, including familiarity with international and domestic cGMP standards
• Willingness to travel up to 40% domestically, with potential for international travel to support customer engagements and technical collaborations
