📋 Description

• • Own the end-to-end lifecycle of NN Group’s Managed File Transfer (MFT) platform, designing, building, and running highly-available, secure, and scalable solutions that move millions of insurance documents and data feeds every day across Europe and Japan.
• • Architect and continuously improve our GoAnywhere MFT estate on AWS, translating business requirements into resilient, cost-efficient, and auditable file-transfer workflows that comply with GDPR, PCI-DSS, and internal risk policies.
• • Automate everything: from Terraform-driven infrastructure as code, to Python-based self-service pipelines in Azure DevOps, to Kubernetes CronJobs that orchestrate file ingestion, virus scanning, encryption, routing, and archival—reducing manual effort by 80 % and cutting incident MTTR to minutes.
• • Embed security-by-design: enforce TLS 1.3, SFTP key rotation, PGP encryption, least-privilege IAM roles, VPC flow-log analysis, and real-time threat detection with Splunk dashboards and alerting that keep our customers’ sensitive data safe 24/7.
• • Provide 24×7 standby coverage for the MFT platform on a rotating roster; respond to alerts, perform root-cause analysis, and implement preventive measures so that business-critical transfers never miss an SLA.
• • Optimise transport protocols (SFTP, FTPS, HTTPS, TCP/UDP) and network paths to achieve sub-second latency for real-time policy quotes and sub-minute batch settlements, while lowering data-egress costs through intelligent caching and compression.
• • Collaborate daily with product owners, security architects, and insurance business units in agile squads; refine user stories, demo new capabilities every sprint, and gather feedback to iterate rapidly and delight both internal and external customers.
• • Mentor junior engineers and run internal guilds on DevOps best practices, AWS Well-Architected patterns, and CKAD-style Kubernetes drills—building a culture of continuous learning and engineering excellence.
• • Monitor, measure, and report on platform KPIs: transfer success rate, throughput, error budget, cost per transaction, and customer NPS; use these insights to prioritise backlog and justify new feature investments.
• • Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion inside the squad and across the Madrid Digital Hub; contribute to NN’s wider social-impact initiatives and volunteer days, living our values of Care, Clear, Commit every day.
