• • Lead the strategic direction, roadmap development, and successful execution for the Elastic Cloud Platform (ECP), a critical component enabling scalable, secure, and reliable integrations across Elastic's entire product portfolio.
• • Define and champion the product vision for ECP, ensuring it aligns seamlessly with overarching customer outcomes and company objectives, driving innovation and market leadership.
• • Act as the primary translator of complex inputs, including direct customer feedback, internal stakeholder requirements, and emerging market trends, into actionable product initiatives and prioritized features.
• • Collaborate closely with engineering, program management, and technical leads to meticulously scope, plan, and deliver new product features and enhancements, ensuring a balance between cutting-edge innovation and robust operational excellence.
• • Drive a strong focus on platform efficiency and the reduction of operational costs, with a particular emphasis on understanding and optimizing Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) drivers.
• • Serve as the unwavering voice of the customer within the product development lifecycle, ensuring the ECP consistently meets and exceeds the needs of developers, operators, and end-users who rely on it.
• • Establish, monitor, and analyze key product success metrics, leveraging data-driven insights to inform strategic decisions, identify areas for improvement, and foster a culture of continuous product evolution.
• • Engage directly with customers to gain deep insights into their workflows, challenges, and future needs, ensuring the platform's evolution remains tightly coupled with real-world application and value.
• • Own the end-to-end product lifecycle for ECP, from initial ideation and market research through to launch, iteration, and ongoing optimization, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of product management best practices.
• • Foster a collaborative and high-ownership environment, working effectively with cross-functional teams to achieve shared goals and deliver exceptional platform capabilities.
• • Contribute to the development of platform capabilities that enhance security, reliability, and scalability, ensuring Elastic's offerings can meet the demands of global enterprises.
• • Identify and champion opportunities for platform modernization and architectural improvements to support future growth and technological advancements.
• • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the competitive landscape and emerging technologies relevant to cloud platforms and search AI.
• • Articulate product strategy and roadmap updates to internal stakeholders, including executive leadership, sales, marketing, and support teams, ensuring alignment and buy-in.
• • Contribute to the definition and refinement of platform APIs and developer experience to facilitate seamless integration and adoption by internal and external developers.
• • Proactively identify and mitigate risks associated with platform development and operations, ensuring timely and successful delivery of commitments.
• • Champion a culture of learning and continuous improvement within the product team and broader engineering organization.
• • Ensure the platform's capabilities support Elastic's commitment to delivering a superior customer experience across its suite of search, security, and observability solutions.
• • Drive initiatives that enhance the multi-tenant capabilities of the platform, ensuring efficient resource utilization and robust isolation for diverse customer environments.
• • Work closely with marketing and sales teams to develop compelling product positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategies for ECP-related features and services.
• • Gather and synthesize feedback from internal users of the platform, such as developers and SREs, to identify areas for improvement and new feature development.
• • Contribute to the long-term strategic planning for Elastic's cloud infrastructure and platform services, ensuring alignment with the company's overall business strategy.
• • Define and manage the product backlog, ensuring it is well-defined, prioritized, and aligned with the product roadmap and business objectives.
• • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify new opportunities and threats, informing product strategy and roadmap decisions.
• • Develop business cases for new product initiatives, including market opportunity, potential revenue, and required investment.
• • Ensure the platform adheres to industry best practices for security, compliance, and data privacy.
• • Foster strong relationships with key engineering leaders and architects to ensure technical feasibility and alignment with architectural principles.
• • Drive the adoption of agile methodologies and best practices within the product management function.
• • Measure and report on the performance of the ECP against key business objectives and KPIs.
