- • We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Post-Doctoral Fellow in Nutrition and Public Health to contribute to our vital mission. This exciting opportunity is based in either Penang, Malaysia, or Zanzibar, Tanzania, offering a chance to immerse yourself in diverse cultural and professional environments.
- • As a Post-Doctoral Fellow, you will become an integral part of our expanding team focused on leveraging aquatic foods to improve diets and nutrition for vulnerable populations across the Global South. This interdisciplinary role provides a unique platform for global collaboration, allowing you to work with partners from various cultural and professional backgrounds.
- • This postdoctoral position is pivotal in advancing our research initiatives, specifically those aimed at enhancing nutrition and food security through the lens of aquatic food systems. You will play a crucial role in shaping the direction and impact of our projects, contributing to a future where aquatic foods are recognized and utilized for their immense nutritional potential.
- • Your core responsibilities will involve conducting comprehensive analyses of extensive global datasets. This will enable us to address complex and critical questions surrounding the transformation of aquatic food systems and their direct and indirect impacts on dietary patterns and nutritional outcomes. You will delve into the intricacies of food systems, exploring how changes in production, distribution, and consumption influence the health and well-being of communities.
- • You will actively contribute to a range of global initiatives designed to strengthen aquatic food value chains. This includes understanding supply chains, market dynamics, and consumer behavior related to aquatic foods.
