- • iRESTORE Laser LLC is seeking a sharp, impact-driven Senior Data Analyst to join our fast-growing company as a strategic partner to our Growth organization. This is a unique contract-to-hire opportunity where you will play a pivotal role in shaping our data infrastructure and driving critical business decisions. Our mission is to restore confidence by providing safe and effective solutions for improving health and beauty, and as we scale, we are building a robust, data-driven foundation to support smarter decision-making across all departments. This role is not about creating standard reports; it's about translating complex, raw datasets into clear, decisive insights that directly influence our most critical growth levers: revenue, contribution margin, acquisition efficiency, and forecasting accuracy.
- • You will work directly with the Head of Data and the VP of Growth, operating at the intersection of marketing performance and financial outcomes. Your analyses will guide budget allocation, pricing strategy, refund optimization, and the development of our experimentation roadmaps. We expect you to think in terms of contribution margin, Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC), Lifetime Value (LTV), payback windows, and strategic trade-offs, rather than just surface-level metrics and dashboards. The ideal candidate understands that sustainable, profitable scaling is the ultimate goal, and is comfortable with both building complex SQL models and challenging assumptions in executive discussions. Your work will directly impact how and where the company invests millions in marketing spend.
- • **Key Responsibilities and Ownership Areas:**
- • **Revenue & Contribution Margin Analysis:** You will be responsible for analyzing daily, weekly, and monthly revenue performance across various channels and geographies. A core part of your role will be to monitor contribution margin (CM) against forecast and planned targets. You will identify and quantify the key drivers of CM volatility, including shifts in refunds, changes in CAC, discount depth, and variations in channel mix. Your analysis must be rigorous, not just describing trends but explaining precisely what changed, why it changed, and its financial implications.
- • **Acquisition & Channel Economics:** Partner closely with our Paid Media and Growth teams to deliver deep, granular channel-level analysis. You will model refund-adjusted CAC and the true contribution margin for each channel. Evaluating channel quality will involve analyzing LTV, refund behavior patterns, and cohort retention rates. Your insights will guide decisions on when to scale, rebalance, or discontinue channels based on sound unit economics, moving beyond superficial metrics.
- • **Refund & Cohort Intelligence:** Develop and maintain cohort-based refund curves and payback views to understand customer behavior over time. You will be tasked with distinguishing between structural shifts in refund behavior and mere timing artifacts. Quantifying the financial impact of policy changes, pricing adjustments, or operational improvements will be crucial. Translating these analytical findings into clear, actionable operational recommendations is a key expectation.
- • **Forecasting & Demand Monitoring:** Support the development and ongoing maintenance of 30, 60, and 90-day revenue forecasts. You will implement monitoring frameworks to detect early shifts in demand and performance trends. Proactively flagging anomalies and emerging risks will be essential. You will also support scenario modeling for promotions, pricing experiments, and seasonal fluctuations.
- • **Executive-Level Reporting & Decision Support:** Build dashboards that are not just visually appealing but truly drive decisions. You will surface the most critical metrics for leadership, including contribution margin, revenue versus plan, channel efficiency, and payback windows. The focus will be on keeping reporting simple, highly focused, and directly oriented towards actionable insights.
- • **Data Stack & Tooling:** We emphasize practical application over vanity metrics. You should have hands-on experience with the following technologies:
- • **Data Warehouse:** Google BigQuery
- • **BI & Visualization:** Looker Studio (or similar BI tools)
- • **SQL:** Advanced proficiency is required, including expertise in joins, window functions, cohort logic, and data modeling.
- • **Performance Marketing Data:** Familiarity with data from platforms like Meta, Google Ads, Shopify, etc., is expected.
- • **AI & Developer Productivity Tools:** Experience working with modern AI-powered development tools (e.g., cloud-based agents, Cursor, or similar) to accelerate SQL development, data modeling, documentation, and analytics workflows within a production data environment is highly valued. While you don't need to be a data engineer, comfort working within a modern analytics stack and partnering effectively with a Data Engineer is essential.
- • **What Success Looks Like (First 6 Months):** Within your first six months, you will be able to independently break down a revenue drop into its core drivers within 24 hours. You will instinctively model trade-offs, such as balancing a lower CAC with a higher refund rate. You will proactively flag anomalies before they escalate into significant problems. You will translate complex analyses into clear, actionable recommendations, and Growth leaders will rely on your insights to make critical allocation decisions. This role offers a significant opportunity to directly influence the data foundation of a high-growth DTC brand, impacting revenue, contribution margin, and long-term scalability within a high-impact seat in the Growth team.
- • **Our Culture:** We foster a culture built on core values: THINKING BIG with a growth mindset, being a PROACTIVE PROBLEM SOLVER using data-informed decisions, being COMFORTABLE BEING UNCOMFORTABLE to drive improvements, practicing OPEN & HONEST COMMUNICATION with radical candor, embracing CONTINUOUS LEARNING & IMPROVEMENT by challenging each other, and being PASSIONATE ABOUT WHAT WE DO to motivate and empower the team.
