  • • Serve as a customer-facing network security expert, providing consultative guidance on security projects with a holistic understanding of how security technology enables business outcomes.
  • • Collaborate with multiple levels of client stakeholders including CIO, CSO, CISO, Security Engineers, and procurement teams to strengthen relationships and align security solutions with organizational goals.
  • • Develop and deliver new cybersecurity service offerings in response to customer opportunities and market demands.
  • • Attend company training and conduct self-study to maintain comprehensive knowledge of SHI’s full portfolio of solution practice areas.
  • • Educate internal sales teams on cybersecurity solution selling, key technologies, and value propositions through one-on-one sessions, team trainings, and company-wide sessions.
  • • Stay current on emerging security technologies, industry trends, and market behavior through continuous study of the cybersecurity landscape.
  • • Conduct independent lab work to deepen technical expertise and validate solution configurations for customer engagements.
  • • Create and maintain sales collateral, including presentations, whitepapers, and technical documentation to support cybersecurity sales cycles.
  • • Develop and demonstrate use cases within the SHI lab environment to validate technical feasibility and showcase solution value to prospects.
  • • Design and deliver engaging, audience-tailored presentations to technical and executive stakeholders across diverse mediums.
  • • Proactively identify negotiation opportunities and contribute to conflict resolution during client engagements.
  • • Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences and facilitate effective communication between technical teams and clients.
  • • Maintain meticulous attention to detail in all documentation, proposals, and technical deliverables to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • • Coordinate multiple concurrent projects using advanced organizational tools and delegate tasks as needed to ensure timely delivery.
  • • Proactively follow up on action items, tasks, and client commitments to maintain efficient workflow and client satisfaction.
  • • Identify potential technical or operational risks and propose innovative, preventive solutions to mitigate them.
  • • Build and expand professional networks internally and externally to foster collaboration and team cohesion.
  • • Develop and enforce comprehensive documentation standards that support operational efficiency and knowledge sharing.
  • • Set and drive achievement of challenging performance goals with a consistent track record of delivering measurable results.
  • • Travel up to 20% to client locations, partner sites, SHI offices, and industry conferences for meetings, demonstrations, and engagements.
  • • Work extended hours as required to complete special projects or meet critical client deadlines.

🎯 Requirements

  • • 5+ years experience in a technical cybersecurity role
  • • 3+ years experience in Security Pre-Sales Consulting
  • • Bachelor’s Degree or relevant work experience required
  • • Intermediate understanding of security frameworks such as NIST, HITRUST, CIS
  • • Strong technical knowledge of network security controls including Firewall, NGFW, SSE, SASE, ZTNA, Secure Browser
  • • Intermediate ability to communicate and sell complex technical products/services by understanding customer needs and articulating value
