- • As a Principal AI Product Engineer at Premier Inc., you will design and implement scalable AI capabilities across the product portfolio, turning advanced models, agents, and conversational interfaces into reusable components that can be embedded across multiple software solutions.
- • You will work closely with product, engineering, and data platform teams to establish integration patterns for technologies such as conversational AI, RAG, vector search, and model orchestration while leveraging the Databricks platform to build enterprise-ready AI infrastructure.

- • In this role, you will accelerate AI deployment by standardizing infrastructure, creating shared services and SDKs, defining governance and evaluation frameworks, and ensuring AI systems are reliable, secure, and production-ready, while gaining deep expertise in enterprise AI productization at scale.
🎯 Requirements
- • 10+ years of applicable engineering experience, including 8+ years in distributed systems and deep experience with the Databricks platform (Unity Catalog, Delta Lake, Workflows, Model Serving, Genie)
- • Strong backend engineering in Python, including APIs, microservices, and distributed systems design, with experience building and deploying production AI systems and model serving pipelines
- • Advanced AI/ML engineering expertise in large language models (LLMs), RAG architectures, agent frameworks, conversational AI systems, vector databases, embeddings, and semantic search
- • Experience designing API-first architectures (REST/GraphQL), shared services, SDKs, and internal developer tooling, plus full-stack development with React, Next.js, TypeScript, and modern frontend frameworks
- • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, AI, ML, Software Engineering, or related field required; advanced degree (MS/PhD) in AI, ML, or Data Science preferred
