  • • As a Principal Analytics Engineer specializing in Power BI development at Clario, you will be instrumental in driving the company's cloud-native analytics transformation. This pivotal role places you at the heart of our mission to leverage data for enhanced clinical trial execution, robust product intelligence, and informed operational decision-making across the entire organization.
  • • You will be responsible for architecting, designing, and delivering enterprise-grade analytics solutions. This involves building integrated visualizations and meticulously governed semantic models on Snowflake and other complementary cloud platforms. Your primary objective will be to transform complex and disparate data sources into actionable insights that empower various teams to make critical decisions daily.
  • • This position demands a unique blend of deep technical expertise and strategic problem-solving capabilities. You will act as a hands-on architect, a skilled developer, and a trusted advisor to both business and technology stakeholders. A key aspect of your role will be shaping how Clario effectively utilizes data to improve operational efficiency, accelerate the generation of crucial evidence, and enhance product and service outcomes.
  • • Your contributions will have a direct and tangible impact on accelerating decision-making processes, ensuring greater accuracy, and ultimately influencing positive outcomes for patients, customers, and internal teams on a global scale.
  • • You will develop and prototype cutting-edge, cloud-native analytics solutions utilizing the full suite of Power BI tools, including Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, DAX, Power Query (M), and dataflows. This will extend to leveraging Power BI deployment pipelines for efficient release management.
  • • A significant part of your work will involve deep integration with Snowflake components, including designing and managing schemas, optimizing virtual warehouses, implementing robust role-based access control (RBAC), developing efficient tasks and streams for data processing, and fine-tuning performance services.
  • • You will lead the entire software development lifecycle (SDLC), incorporating agile methodologies, for analytics solutions that are secure, scalable, and cost-efficient. This end-to-end responsibility covers design, development, rigorous testing, comprehensive documentation, and ongoing support.
  • • A critical responsibility will be the implementation of robust governance controls. This includes enforcing row-level security (RLS) and object-level security (OLS), establishing data endorsements to ensure data quality and trust, managing version control for analytics assets, and building reliable data refresh pipelines to ensure data currency.
  • • You will perform detailed source-to-target mapping and design optimized star and snowflake schemas specifically tailored for analytics and effective semantic modeling.
  • • A core function will be building sophisticated semantic layers and governed calculation frameworks, leveraging DAX measures and calculation groups to ensure consistency and accuracy in business logic.
  • • You will be tasked with optimizing both model and query performance. This involves implementing strategies such as aggregations, incremental refresh, careful model size tuning, and applying Snowflake-specific performance optimization techniques like clustering and caching.
  • • You will be responsible for operationalizing production analytics pipelines, including setting up schedules, managing workflows, implementing alerting and monitoring systems, and ensuring adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • • You will provide critical Level 3 support, utilizing tools like ServiceNow for issue triage, in-depth root-cause analysis, and managing stable releases to production environments.
  • • You will actively partner with business and technical stakeholders to meticulously define requirements, lead collaborative design workshops, and produce actionable prototypes and wireframes that align with user needs and business objectives.
  • • You will design and deliver high-value dashboards, reports, and analytical applications that provide deep product insights and essential operational decision support.
  • • You will champion a culture of quality, adherence to standards, and continuous improvement. This will be achieved through conducting thorough architecture and code reviews, maintaining comprehensive operational documentation, and fostering awareness of usage and costs across all analytics workloads.
  • • You will stay abreast of emerging cloud analytics capabilities and ensure strict compliance with required training and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), particularly those relevant to regulated environments like GCP, 21 CFR Part 11, and CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions).
