đź“‹ Description

  • • As a Principal Architect at Red Hat, you will be at the forefront of modernizing enterprise IT infrastructure, focusing on the strategic migration of customers from legacy virtualization platforms to Red Hat OpenShift Virtualization. This senior role demands a unique blend of deep technical expertise, strategic vision, and strong leadership capabilities to guide customers through complex transformations.
  • • You will serve as a pivotal technical advisor, engaging directly with customer architecture, development, and operations teams. Your primary objective will be to understand their unique challenges and articulate how Red Hat's OpenShift platform, a unified solution for both containers and virtual machines, can significantly enhance operational efficiency, boost developer productivity, and ensure business continuity.
  • • A core responsibility will be architecting and designing robust, production-grade solutions leveraging Red Hat OpenStack Platform (RHOSO) and Red Hat OpenShift Virtualization. This involves meticulously planning the migration of existing virtual machine workloads, ensuring a seamless and effective transition.
  • • You will lead critical customer engagements, including Virtualization Migration Assessments (VMAs), in-depth technical discovery sessions, and interactive workshops. These sessions are designed to uncover customer pain points and clearly demonstrate the tangible value proposition of Red Hat's comprehensive portfolio.
  • • Building and nurturing strategic relationships with senior technical and business leaders within customer organizations is paramount. You will act as a trusted advisor, earning their confidence through expert guidance and a deep understanding of their business objectives.
  • • As a subject matter expert on OpenShift Virtualization, you will provide invaluable technical leadership to both customer and internal Red Hat teams. This guidance will span the entire lifecycle, from initial design and proof-of-concept phases through to pilot deployments and full-scale production rollouts.
  • • A key aspect of your role will involve proactive problem-solving. You will work collaboratively with customers to identify and overcome any challenges or blockers hindering the adoption of OpenShift Virtualization, ensuring their technical and business requirements are met effectively.
  • • Collaboration is essential. You will work hand-in-hand with Red Hat's product management, engineering, professional services, and sales teams. This cross-functional teamwork is crucial for delivering a cohesive and exceptional customer experience from start to finish.
  • • You will also contribute to Red Hat's position as a thought leader in the industry. This includes developing and disseminating best practices, creating reusable architectural patterns and assets for virtualization modernization, authoring whitepapers, participating in webinars, and representing Red Hat at industry conferences.
  • • Your deep understanding of datacenter infrastructure, including compute, storage, and networking integration, will be critical. You will need to possess a strong grasp of Software-Defined Networking (SDN) technologies such as OVN, NSX-T, or Cisco ACI to design resilient and scalable solutions.
  • • A profound knowledge of Linux operating systems, particularly Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and its derivatives within enterprise production environments, is a fundamental requirement for success in this role.
  • • The ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences, present compelling solutions, and demonstrate strong problem-solving skills will be key to building lasting customer relationships and driving successful project outcomes.
  • • This role requires a willingness to travel regularly to customer locations to facilitate on-site engagements and build strong working relationships.
