📋 Description
- • The Principal Architect – Data Governance is responsible for shaping, positioning, and evangelizing Logicalis’ data governance and information protection strategy within its core IT portfolio, functioning as a senior technical seller and trusted advisor who positions data governance as a foundational IT and security capability enabling secure collaboration, regulatory compliance, risk reduction, and operational resilience.
- • Day to day, the role involves defining enterprise data governance and information protection strategies aligned to core IT platforms, establishing governance architectures integrated with security, identity, cloud, and collaboration services (including Microsoft 365, Security Services, Cloud and Hybrid Infrastructure, and Identity/Access Management), embedding governance across practice portfolios, identifying enhancement opportunities, establishing reference architectures and tooling standards, and ensuring governance integrates naturally with cloud, security, identity, and operations.
- • The role works closely with Sales, the Overwatch Office, and the Security, Cloud, Modern Work, Hybrid Infrastructure, and Managed Services teams to ensure governance solutions are platform-aligned, commercially relevant, and clearly articulated to customers, focusing on pre-sales strategy, customer advisory, and technical alignment without involvement in analytics, BI, or data science.
- • The person in this role can learn to lead enterprise-level data governance strategy, influence cross-functional technology and security initiatives, develop customer-facing technical narratives that drive sales outcomes, and deepen expertise in Microsoft ecosystems, zero trust architectures, and regulatory compliance frameworks while operating as a trusted advisor in a global technology services organization.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- • 10+ years of experience in enterprise IT or security architecture roles
- • Deep experience with data governance, information protection, or compliance
- • Strong background in Microsoft platforms, security, identity, and hybrid cloud
- • Relevant industry certifications for area of focus or practice area
- • Comfortable leading customer-facing technical conversations and executive discussions
