- • Serve as a Principal Consultant leading strategic initiatives for Life Sciences clients within the Events Business Consulting practice, focusing on transforming how pharmaceutical and biotech companies execute highly regulated events such as Speaker Programs, Advisory Boards, and Medical Congresses.
- • Partner with clients to identify operational bottlenecks across the full event lifecycle—from planning and compliance to execution and measurement—and design scalable, compliant operating models that align with regulatory requirements and business objectives.
- • Drive organizational change by shifting client focus from transactional, checklist-based event management to strategic, value-driven execution that integrates events into the broader commercial journey to enhance HCP (Healthcare Professional) relationships.
- • Leverage Veeva’s integrated suite of software, data, and AI tools to enable data-informed decision-making, automate manual processes, and deliver measurable business outcomes such as improved engagement rates, reduced compliance risk, and increased ROI on event spend.
- • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, data science, and implementation specialists to tailor solutions that bridge consulting insights with Veeva platform capabilities, ensuring seamless client adoption and long-term success.
- • Lead end-to-end client engagements from discovery and diagnosis through solution design, implementation, and post-launch optimization, acting as the primary point of contact for senior client stakeholders including commercial leaders, medical affairs, and compliance teams.
- • Develop and deliver thought leadership on best practices in event strategy, regulatory compliance, and digital transformation within the Life Sciences industry, contributing to internal knowledge repositories and external client-facing materials.
- • Mentor and coach junior consultants, fostering a culture of excellence, client-centricity, and continuous learning within the Events Business Consulting practice.
- • Stay current on evolving regulatory landscapes (e.g., FDA, EMA, Sunshine Act) and industry trends impacting event execution, ensuring all recommendations remain compliant and forward-looking.
- • Contribute to practice growth by identifying new service opportunities, participating in proposal development, and supporting business development efforts through client presentations and industry events.
- • Align all consulting activities with Veeva’s mission as a public benefit corporation, prioritizing patient outcomes and industry-wide efficiency alongside commercial success.
🎯 Requirements
- • Minimum of 10 years of consulting or industry experience in Life Sciences, with deep expertise in commercial operations, medical affairs, or event management
- • Proven track record of leading large-scale, complex consulting engagements with pharmaceutical or biotech clients on event strategy, compliance, or digital transformation
- • Demonstrated ability to translate regulatory requirements (e.g., Sunshine Act, EFPIA, FDA guidance) into actionable operational improvements
- • Strong experience leveraging technology platforms (e.g., CRM, event management systems, data analytics tools) to optimize event execution and measurement
- • Excellent client-facing skills with the ability to influence C-suite and senior functional leaders
- • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (MBA, MPH, MD, PharmD) preferred
