- • Principal Computer Vision Engineer role focused on building a brand new cricket tracking system at Hawk-Eye Innovations, playing a key part in shaping architecture, technical direction, and delivery of a next-generation tracking platform used in live sports environments.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include leading the design and development of the cricket tracking system, owning tracking pipelines, defining and evolving system architecture, driving robustness and performance, guiding a small squad of 5–8 engineers, translating product requirements into technical roadmaps, and acting as a technical escalation point for complex challenges.
- • The team is part of Hawk-Eye Innovations’ Cricket Solution Squad, a high-performing, small engineering group working on cutting-edge sports technology within a Sony Group company, with hybrid working across Basingstoke, London, or Bristol offices.
- • The role offers the opportunity to influence technical strategy, mentor engineers, work on production-grade systems with real-world impact in live sports, and develop expertise in scalable computer vision architectures and multi-camera geometry.
